Intense Pulsed Light produces a dermal healing response without the injury to the skin.  This causes stimulation of fibroblasts which encourages the formation of collagen which in turn will improve the remodeling of lines & wrinkles as well as plumping up the skin giving a better skin tone and texture.

Rejuvenation is really a combination of treating pigmentation and mild vascular conditions.  Besides evening out skin colour you will notice an improvement in the skin’s tone and texture and there may even be some shrinkage of pore size & fine lines.

This treatment is fantastic for a lead up to any major events like getting married, or other events where you wish to look your best.  There is no down time with IPL rejuvenation, you look great straight away (I always love my skin straight after this treatment, it looks really fresh and plump).

It is suggested a course of 6 to 8 treatments 4-8 weeks apart to treat pigmentation and broken capillaries. 

The treatment involves gel being applied to the skin and the applicator is pulsed across the whole face barely touching the skin.  You will be aware of a mild sting (my opinion – waxing hurts way more).  There may be some redness appearing, particularly if there were a few visible blood vessels in the area, and there could be a little crusting or dirty look appear if there is any pigmentation present.  Sometimes there may be a little swelling which usually goes in a few hours.

This treatment comes with a $250 price tag but is well worth it, especially for the people serious about wanting to treat pigmentation and broken capillaries and to freshen the skin up.  A good skin care regime will obviously enhance the effects you are wishing to achieve, and protecting your face from further sun damage is also just as important otherwise you are undoing all the good work of the treatment.
